ANTIFLEX®-AR3-2h-ITO
Non-glare coating A3, i.e. MAT FINISH like on ANTIFLEX®-AR3, but with additional hard coating on both surfaces to increase scratch resistance (surface hardness of 6-8H - pencil hardness - compared to 2-3 H of uncoated acrylic).
The hard coating on ANTIFLEX-AR3/2h-ITO yields a surface hardness of approx. to 6 – 8 H compared to the surface hardness of uncoated standard acrylic of approx. 2-3 H (pencil hardness).
The test of surface hardness defined by ttv will irreparably damage any other plastic filter but leaves ANTIFLEX®-AR3/2h undamaged: sliding a weight (diameter 40 mm) of 250p - with a pad of steel wool #1 underneath – 3 times across the surface will not cause any visible scratches.
Better chemical resistance protects the material not only from damages caused by oil, grease, or acids but also prevents substances as aggressive as acetone from harming the surface. Vast areas of application open up for this light-weight, hard to break ANTIFLEX®-AR3/2h because of its optical quality (gloss < 55%, haze < 2%, transmission 80%) well above industry standard for etched glass windows, and its flexibility in color matching to enhance contrast.
Additional ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) coating of approx. 30 Ω/□ for EMI/RFI shielding on top of the hard coating on the rear surface. Contacting with silver lacquer (busbar) not necessarily required.
